I’ll make this short. Over the past few weeks, I’ve not been enjoying doing my name research work as much as I used to, feeling that it’s gotten a bit monotonous and exhausting. There’s not much detail to go over why since I can’t really put my feelings into complex sentences.
So, for me, now is the time to step away from my research hobby and the “name nerd” community at large and adopt a new mindset, learn a new skill and see a new perspective on life. It is a sad occasion, but this shift is needed for my mental health.
To part, I would like to thank every one of you who read my posts on this blog and Beyond Sakura and Hiroshi when I first started in 2015 and 2018 respectively. To the Behind the Name community, it’s been a pleasure to meet you all, even when I did make mistakes there. Who knows, I might come back to this community some day in some other year or decade, but don’t count on that 100% happening.
Thank you for all you’ve done! All the best, and whether you return or not, your sites are so valuable.
